Jojoba oil forms a thin, even lipoid layer on the skin. This layer is relatively porous and allows the skin to breathe and remain hydrated. The use of jojoba oil as a facial moisturizer, gives results almost overnight. One to two drops are all you need.

Another use for jojoba oil is as an all-over body lotion. Jojoba oil spreads smoothly and evenly, disappearing into the skin quickly leaving no greasy, heavy feeling. A drop on the lips keeps them soft and smooth.

Use a mixture of one half jojoba oil and one half water, for a very effective makeup remover. To use jojoba oil as an eye makeup remover, apply the oil to a cotton ball and gently wipe on eyelids, under eyes and on lashes. Jojoba oil leaves skin and lashes not only makeup free, but soft and healthy.

Apply jojoba oil on elbows, heels, knees and soles of the feet before applying a sunless tanning product. This helps keep the tanning product from soaking into these areas causing them to become darker than the rest of the body. Applying jojoba oil to stretch marks may reduce and help resolve them.

Studies on jojoba oil show that it has the ability to prevent skin from becoming too oily. It does this by “tricking” the skin into producing less natural sebum. Too much sebum production can cause clogged pores resulting in acne, as well as an oily appearance to the skin.
